Like most of us who have seen the MotorBunny or Symbian, I was curious about ride-atop sex machines. Also, I grew up riding horses, so I have an affinity for saddle-based items. But... at more than two grand, those were never going to happen for me.

VVD gave me a chance to test their Rider Desire, a saddle-stype ride-atop sex maching. The price, a mere $250, made me very skeptical about the quality of the item I was about to get. In the world of sex toys, more expensive does not always mean better, but there tends to be a strong correlation.

I was pleasantly surprised when I unboxed the item. It was really nice! Just feeling the material of the saddle and the various included dildos told me that these folks had not skimped in their construction. It was also cute! I got the limited edition "Black" version which is actually black and yellow diamonds with a "Batman" style logo in the yellow diamonds. DC fans rejoice!

Materials and Measurements

The saddle itself is covered in an ABS plastic. This is great because it can be sterilized with a basic antiseptic soap. The parts on the saddle designed to stimulate your tender bits are covered in a high-quality silicone. There is an opening to attach the dildos which are included with the toy.

The toy comes with three dildoes. Each dildo is about 6" long with a max insertable length of about 5 inches. This is great for most riders. Those of you with an affinity for lager insertables, read to the end. I have some solutions.

The dildoes vary in the curvature of the tip and the amount of texture on the shaft so that riders can find the one they most enjoy.

The saddle itself has a vibrating/pusling bit designed to hit your clit as you ride. This is covered in silicone.

The saddle can be controlled with buttons underneath the front end or the included remote control. 

The dimensions of the saddle are 17.36 inches long, 9.64 inches wide, and 7.96 inches high (44cm x 24.5cm x 20cm).

The smaller width is helpful for those who may lack flexibility in their hip flexors. It did not interfer with the enjoyment I got in a larger body.

Whoa Nelly!

Between the smaller size and the cost, I was still a bit skeptical when I went for a ride. The skepticism quickly evaporated. This toy delivers in a big way!

I am not an average sized human. Recently, I was called a "seven foot behemonth" in the local police blotter. In reality, I am six feet tall with a 34 inch (87cm) inseam and built like a full back on an American football team. The saddle by itself did not allow for easy positioning on my materess or floor. I added a firm pillow under it to raise the whole thing an additional 6 inches (15 cm). That made all the difference in the world!

Once the adjustments for my height had been made, the clit stimulator hit beautifully! The area for clit stimulation was suprisingly large. This is one area many toys fail on in my reviews. Toy makers design them for "average" women- which I am not. The VVD Rider Desire's clit stimulating area is significantly larger than most toys. This meant it actually worked for me!

This is also a good thing for other folks. When I talk to bigger women, trans men, and trans women, one of the chief complaints is that toys don't work on their clits. This one has the promise to make a wider variety of bodies happy. Bravo VVD!!

I tried the three attachments in three different goes. It took three trials because this works well for getting me to climax so I had to give the bits a break between toys.

One of the dils has a head curved to reach the G-spot and it does for me! This is also surprising because many G-spot stimulators are too short for me. The length plus the rocking ability allowed me to hit the G-spot repeatedly.

The remote option was great too. There was no funny positioning needed to change the intensity or pattern of vibrations on the clit or insertable parts. If you have read other reviews, you know the Morris Code options are not something I love. That did not hold up here.

The various dildo shapes plus clit stimulation made combining the different patterns and pusles a wonderful option. This is the first toy in a long time where I think the company nailed the patterns they pre-program on a toy.

Overall, I strongly recommend the VVD Rider Desire! I did not think that was going to be the outcome of the review when I started. After using the toy, I am a believer that VVD nailed an affordable ride-atop sex toy. Bravo!!

So, What's Next

For people who prefer larger insertables, the saddle will accomodate a suction-cup bottomed insertable. You can add your own giant dildo. This will negate the ability to control the insertable with the included remote. But, if you need big, this is a good option.

I let the company know that they may want to add additional options to buy larger dils that fit the saddle in the future.

The box it comes it works well to transport the toy. This is something I am thrilled about, as I travel to see my Dom. I can throw this in my trunk and it is easy to get it to a fun destination.

The site does have a carrying bag for $250. If you travel to conferences and video shoots (like I do) it would be a good investment as well.

For those of you who are larger bodied, finding a good pillow to wedge underneath the toy makes it much more comfortable to ride. Also, for those of us with bad knees, knee pads are a good addition if you are riding this on a hard surface like a rug or floor.
